Pacific Grove, California

Many of you know, Glenn and Merrily spend a lot of time in Pacific Grove. We are fortunate enough to be able to tag along with them and enjoy the weather, scenery, and solitude found nowhere else. This trip was a little cold during the evenings, but the tide pools were low during the daylight hours which made the boys happy. They can never catch enough crabs, sea stars, hermit crabs, abolone, and other sea life. the environmentals must hate us, but I figure, what is the point of protecting something, if you can't enjoy it. As you can see, the boys enjoy it.

Mazlyn Trudee has joined the family

Yes, Mazlyn Trudee is her name. No one knows where it can from, not even us, but maybe it has something to do with Mazzy Star and Gertrude. Anyhow, She is a delight and a pleasant change from the two boys who continue to grow bigger and more destructive. Much to Loralee's dismay, her hair will turn blonde like her brothers - so much for blonde being the recessive gene.

Utah

We had a great family trip to Utah in July. The majority of the family met in Park City and spent the week at the waterslides, fishing, hiking, swimming, and other activities. It was nice to see the family again, for some of them it had been too long.

After the week ended, I drove home with Glenn and Merrily and Loralee stayed to spend a second week with her Aunt, Cousins, and Grandmother (Gert). From what I understand, she had a fun week with her family, and also had the time to visit friends we left behind many years ago.

The following weekend, I flew back to Utah on Friday night. Saturday morning, I woke up early and drove to Provo to meet up with Drew to fly fish. That day made a whole year of work worth it. Probably the best fishing day of my life.
