Del Valle

This weekend we got to go boating with Nanna and Poppy. It was Mazzy's first boat ride and she was a trooper. Gavin thought he would try his water feet. It wasn't quite as easy as he thought. Next time buddy. I got to take a ride with the three kids on the raft. We are lucky to live close to family!

Happy 4th of July!

Lance and Becky came over from Santa Barbara for the weekend which was a lot of fun. The morning of the 4th Troy took the boys with Lance, Becky, Poppy and Chino up to Rock City on Mt. Diablo. The boys got a little warm and took off their shirts. Like Father like son.

We peacefully combined Boyers and MacDonalds for an afternoon Bar B Que and swimming session. We are happy that both families are so compatible and enjoy sharing company.
This is a shot of Mazzy sharing her car seat with her new Best Friend, Chino. He may not feel the same but for her it is a serious commitment.

Mazzy Compartmentalized!

Now that Mazzy is mobile she is usually up to no good. She loves putting no no's into her mouth and chewing on shoes is a new fetish. So Troy got sick of it and found her some new stomping grounds in our laundry divider. She doesn't look too upset about it.

Utahhhhhhh!

For the past two weeks we have been in Utah. It feels like it was more like 2 months. The first week I was there with the kids while Troy worked. It was a lot of fun catching up with family and friends. We went to the Hogle Zoo. Swam at my Aunts pool. Hung out with Grandma Gert and celebrated my cousin Sara's 23 birthday.

Mazzy and Grandma Gert!

Gavin and Colby running through the fountains at Gateway in SLC. Why don't we have anything like that in Cali?

Riding the Merry go Round at Hogle Zoo.

The second week was the 2nd annual MacDonald Family Reunion in Park City. Everyone kept asking me what we would be doing in Park City for a week. Personally I had no doubt there would be plenty of events for the entire week.
On Tuesday we took a tour bus around Park City. It was a big hit with the kids.

This is a picture of everyone but me because I am the photographer.

I love this picture of Robb and Dalee's little girl Venice. She has the most beautiful blue eyes ever!

This is a good one of Robb, Troy, Ladd and some of their kids.

Nanna had a lot of fun with Dane and Elena's oldest, Amanda.

Troy and Mazzy are looking more and more alike. No wonder Troy thinks she is the cutest little girl he ever saw!
On Wednesday we went to 7 Peaks as a family.

I actually brought the pack n play so Mazzy could nap in the middle of the day. I didn't think two would fit but Venice and Mazzy turned out to be great bunk mates.

Elena and her youngest daughter Nikki.
Colby got really tired by the end of the day and needed a place to sit down and catch his breath. Mazzy's seat was just the right size and in 2 seconds he was out.

We went out for Mexican Food in Provo after a great day at the slides.

Thursday was a bit of a break so I decided to meet up with an old friend from Texas days and drug my two sisters in law, Jen & Danielle, and met up with Barbie and went on a wild goose chase that ended up in Lehi at some random community center to see my friend for about 45 minutes before she had another appointment. We did end up swimming for a while and Gavin went off his first high dive. Later we went to Thanksgiving Point to the petting zoo and then to Cabellas to hit the shooting range. That was a 'down time' day.

On Friday, Colby found his own slice of Heaven on the Heber Creeper. He remembered it from last year and was asking when we would go on again for the past 6 months. I knew Poppy would not let him down!

Mazzy got to play in a different hot tub than the one she is use to at home. There was no adjustment.

The final day we were able to go on the Alpine Slides as a family minus 'The Maz'. Merrily was kind enough to babysit so Troy and I could go down each with one boy. It was one of the highlights for sure.
Gavin made my day because he insisted on going with me! Usually he would rather be with Troy.

We had a great trip and are excited for next year. However, it is good to be home!
