I LOVE HALLOWEEN!

We started out October right with a trip to the G&M Farms Pumpkin Patch in Livermore. We went with Colby's Pre-school class and it was highly entertaining (for the adults too).
The field trip started with a Hay ride that was very slow and long but the kids didn't seem to notice. Then we had a little class about planting corn and pumpkins.

I think Gavin thought it was his job to educate the adults as well as the kids on this matter.
He kept interjecting with little tidbits of information. For example the educator asked what pumpkins needed to grow. Gavin wasn't satisfied with dirt and water, "They need air, worms, fertilizer and rain from the sky!" (too much popular mechanics for that kid)
Next we got to pick out our Pumpkins. This is one of the Highlights

This is the 'Haunted Wagon' that nailed Gavin in the head mysteriously.

These are the biggest pumpkins that the boys have picked out yet!

After hunting for the 'Best' pumpkins we did some of the local activities. Colby was obsessed with a very dark tunnel that was made out of hay bales. He kept hiding inside the tunnels scaring people. He especially enjoyed scaring me when he wouldn't answer me calling his name a million times. He finally relented when I was about to enlist the help of the employees and Gavin encouraged him to give himself up. All the kids loved the 'Corn Box'. A huge box that contained dried corn instead of sand.

Colby insisted on being burried a big chunk of the time.

The other section of the time he tried out some new stunts.

Gavin and his former RLP classmate Ashley enjoyed making 'Corn Angels'.

Mazzy was beside herself with glee.
After the fun activities we ate snacks and had story time.

After a hard days work the little ghools are finally clean and ready for the next!

So stinkin cute! Can we please take a trip out there just us and the kids? I want some pumpkins, and your pictures are adorable, and it looks like a ton of fun. By the way - THANK YOU for the present for Josh. Sorry it is a late response, but seriously...you were way too generous. We just wanted you at the party!
